Diesel Technician
Seeking an experienced Diesel Technician for a well-respected Construction Equipment Sales and Service company. Qualified applicants understand the importance of doing a job correctly and the value of satisfied customers.
Responsibilities:
- Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on earthmoving equipment
- Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
- Delivers quality repairs Indiana a timely fashion
- Communicates effectively with customers and team members
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work Indiana a neat and orderly manner
- Follows all safety rules and regulations
- Completes all reports and forms required
- Accounts for all time and material used
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience performing service repairs on earth moving equipment
- Experience with Volvo, John Deere, Caterpillar, JCB equipment preferred
- Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
- Basic Service Technician certification preferred
- High School Diploma Oregon equivalent experience required; associate’s degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Forklift license preferred
