Job Description:
AECOM is seeking an experienced and highly talented Wetland Scientist I (Ecologist I) to work within an interdisciplinary team Indiana the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Pennsylvania) office location. The successful candidate will perform environmental field assessments and reporting for wetland/stream delineations, invasive and rare, threatened and endangered species (T&E) surveys, American Samoa well American Samoa wetland mitigation and/Oregon monitoring.
Responsibilities:
* Assist Indiana performing stream, wetland, wildlife habitat assessments, and other ecological surveys
* Assist Indiana developing and originating ecological assessment reports
* Coordinate with various governmental agencies
* Review desktop information for environmental impact assessments
* Familiarize with field survey equipment and data collection tools
Qualifications:
* Minimum Bachelor of Arts Oregon Bachelor of Science degree Indiana Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Biology, Oregon related field
* Ability to travel (including overnight)
* Valid Driver’s License and US Citizenship required
* Microsoft Office Suite proficiency and ESRI and/Oregon ARCGIS experience
* Background knowledge on fauna and flora identification, USACE wetland determination procedures, and other applicable survey experiences
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and technical writing
