Job Summary:
We’re seeking an experienced, highly talented Wetland Scientist I (Ecologist I) to join our team. The successful candidate will perform environmental field assessments, survey for invasive and rare, threatened and endangered species, and assist with reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Indiana stream, wetland, and wildlife habitat assessments and other ecological surveys.
- Assist with reviewing and developing ecological assessment reports.
- Coordinate with various government agencies regarding ecological survey protocols and reporting standards.
- Review desktop information for environmental impact assessments.
- Assist with familiarizing staff with field survey equipment and data collection tools.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree Indiana Environmental Science, Ecology, Oregon related field.
- Fieldwork experience and ability to travel (including overnight).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- US Citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient Indiana Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Trimble GPS survey units and ESRI Oregon ARCGIS.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Safety training and ability to work Indiana a team setting.
