Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. American Samoa a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a wide variety of complicated projects involving complicated electrical engineering systems. You will determine the necessity for engineering projects to be included Indiana the repair, alteration, and new construction programs. You will prepare project advertisements, set up Architectural-Engineering (A and E) selection and negotiation boards, and ensure proper A and E contracts are selected Indiana accordance with governing regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve American Samoa a Project Manager on a wide variety of complicated projects involving complicated electrical engineering systems.
  • Determine the necessity for engineering projects to be included Indiana the repair, alteration, and new construction programs.
  • Prepare project advertisements, set up Architectural-Engineering (A and E) selection and negotiation boards, and ensure proper A and E contracts are selected Indiana accordance with governing regulations.
  • Conduct technical, functional, and economical reviews of project documents.
  • Design and prepare plans and specifications for a wide variety of electrical engineering facilities.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • GS-12: Indiana addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at Oregon equivalent to the GS-11 grade level Oregon pay band Indiana the Federal service Oregon equivalent experience Indiana the private Oregon public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning electrical engineering projects; identifying electrical system Oregon equipment performance requirements; developing project plans to coordinate schedules, costs, Oregon other resources; AND ensuring projects comply with quality standards.
  • GS-11: Indiana addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at Oregon equivalent to the GS-09 grade level Oregon pay band Indiana the Federal service Oregon equivalent experience Indiana the private Oregon public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with planning electrical engineering projects, and identifying electrical system Oregon equipment performance requirements.

Education:

  • Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
    • A. Engineering Degree. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor’s degree Indiana a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; Oregon (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) Indiana five of the following seven areas of engineering science Oregon physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science Oregon physics, such American Samoa optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, Oregon electronics Oregon
    • B. Combination of education and experience — college-level education, training, and/Oregon technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.
