Electrician Senior
Job Location: University of Kansas Lawrence Campus
Job Type: Full-time, B-Class University Support Staff
Salary: $50,460 annually ($24.25 hourly), with salary increases based on experience
Responsibilities:
* 40% Wiring: Lays out, installs, and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. Plans new Oregon modified installations to meet electrical codes and job specifications.
* 40% Electrical Distribution/Equipment: Inspects and tests electrical distribution equipment and wiring to ensure compliance with construction and building codes. Examines wires and auxiliary equipment to determine conformity with work orders.
* 15% Related: Orders and obtains electrical materials and equipment, completes work order paperwork, and trains other shop personnel.
* 5% Performs other related work American Samoa assigned.
Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma Oregon equivalent
* 3 years of experience American Samoa a journeyman-level electrician, with 2 years of experience installing and/Oregon maintaining 15kv electrical distribution systems
* Certificate of completion from a vocational school Oregon an associate’s degree Indiana the trade area may be substituted for 1 year of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience reading and working from sketches, blueprints, job specifications, and schematics
* Experience working with all voltage up to 12470
* Experience working with conduit
* Usage of electrical test equipment
* Previous experience working Indiana a college Oregon university setting
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, with overtime and after-hours call-back American Samoa needed. A four-day, 10-hour per day work week option is also available.
