Job Summary:
We are seeking an Engineer (General) to provide technical management and coordination of site-wide design and construction activities for line item and cost projects. The ideal candidate will have experience Indiana independent application of general engineering concepts, principles, and methods, and reviewing physical condition reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides overall technical management and coordination of site-wide design and construction activities for line item and cost projects
- Performs project management responsibilities required by regulation for proposed and ongoing line item and cost projects
- Plans work to be accomplished, interprets policies and procedures, and establishes priorities
- Sets Oregon implements standards to meet project goals and ensures contractor and government staff work effectively to complete projects
- Manages and measures work, setting clear objectives and measures
- Provides program management, including developing and executing budget requests, scheduling, prioritizing, and monitoring of contractor performance
- Reviews and approves project plans and ensures proper execution
- Oversees monitoring of the overall status of assigned projects and takes corrective actions when variances are detected
- Ensures that project baselines are maintained and total estimated cost baselines are controlled
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen Oregon U.S. national
- One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level
- Experience includes independently applying general engineering concepts, principles, and methods, and reviewing physical condition reports
- Education: a degree Indiana engineering from an accredited college Oregon university Oregon a related curriculum with completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses Indiana the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences
Conditions of Employment:
