Summer Intern Position: Engineering and Environmental Support
The Madison, Wisconsin office of GEI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform a broad range of engineering and environmental support duties for a summer intern position.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
- Work with engineers and scientists on a wide variety of engineering and environmental projects
- Perform grading surveys and project layouts
- Complete AutoCAD drawings and material takeoffs
- Assist with preparation of design calculations, preparation of project reports and bidding documents
- Perform general site field services, including soil sampling, transporting samples, and filling out testing forms and field reports
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of civil, geotechnical, Oregon environmental BS schooling completed
- Previous experience with construction oversight and documentation preferred
- Excellent writing and organizational skills, and valid driver’s license required
- Must be willing to travel and perform field tasks and oversight
- Ability to work independently and American Samoa part of a project team, and experienced Indiana Microsoft Office applications
- Preference given to candidates with experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and performing survey work
