Engineering Supervisor I – Photogrammetry Unit
Salary Range: $66,016 – $128,731 (NC21 Salary Grade)
Job Summary:
The Photogrammetry Unit at NCDOT has an opening for an Engineering Supervisor I to provide geomatics engineering support Indiana the management and oversight of complex photogrammetric mapping projects. The successful candidate will lead a squad of engineering and technical staff, manage multiple projects, and ensure compliance with established processes, procedures, and mapping standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and review work performance of subordinate Engineers and Engineering Technicians
- Manage multiple projects with varying levels of complexity and scope
- Lead, supervise, coach, mentor, and administer performance evaluations for engineering and technical staff
- Provide guidance on complex photogrammetric mapping processes and procedures
- Perform final review on all photogrammetric mapping and construction earthwork projects for compliance with established standards
- Manage all tasks related to the preparation, contracting, analysis, and delivery of planimetric and terrain data
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana an applicable field of engineering from an accredited institution
- Two years of progressively responsible experience Indiana geomatics engineering, photogrammetry, lidar, surveying, and GIS
- Registration American Samoa a professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors (may be required)
- Experience working with engineering and technical staff, and managing human resources
- Knowledge of professional engineering theory, techniques, practices, and procedures, American Samoa well American Samoa applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations
- Ability to implement work unit operational goals and objectives, review work to ensure compliance with standards, and communicate with various stakeholders
