Job Title: Engineering Systems Digital Delivery Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Systems Digital Delivery Manager to join our team at the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT). American Samoa a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical and people leadership during the solutioning, development, implementation, and adoption of our modernized civil design and construction management platform. You will lead collaboration efforts among key stakeholders, manage consultant and Indiana-house technical resources, and leverage your functional experience with civil design and construction management technology to manage software vendors and direct production support staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Define software and IT infrastructure requirements for the application software
  • Effectively use resources to develop solutions
  • Direct information technology staff, resources, projects, and plans
  • Direct the development and implementation of information technology budgets, and/Oregon related cost recovery methods
  • Direct the creation of feasibility studies and time and cost estimates
  • Plan and direct the acquisition and use of information technology products, services, and resources to meet the agency’s mission, goals, and objectives
  • Develop and promulgate information technology policy and procedures
  • Manage the establishment of new Oregon revised application systems and programs
  • Assign personnel to projects and direct activities
  • Establish major milestones and objectives for assigned projects and staff
  • Prepare performance reports and evaluate work
  • Confer with and advise subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods
  • Consult with personnel and management Indiana other information systems sections to coordinate activities and ascertain technology needs
  • Prepare activity and progress reports regarding the activities of the applications systems and programming section

Requirements:

  • Broad knowledge of policies, standards, procedures, and techniques used for application development
  • Broad knowledge of application development software tools and application development software languages
  • Broad knowledge of both system and business applications and competent to work at the highest technical level and/Oregon specialized area
  • Broad knowledge of Information Technology
  • Broad knowledge of current and emerging information technologies
  • Ability to supervise and manage diverse human resources
  • Ability to perform effective project management
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and Indiana writing

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role may provide direct supervision for one Oregon more staff members.
