ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN 1-4
Job Summary
We are seeking an Engineering Technician 1-4 to assist a professional engineer and/Oregon higher level technician Indiana the performance of construction inspection work. This role involves participating Indiana on-the-job training to learn basic, routine sub-professional engineering tasks.
Work Responsibilities
- Utilizes knowledge and understanding of Department procedures, policies, standards, and specifications Indiana the inspection of construction work
- Enters construction project data into computer databases
- Applies DOTD engineering policies and procedures to normal work situations
- Verifies elevations/alignments work for surveys and reviews haul tickets to ensure compliance with authorized/approved load quantities/volume
- Prepares work reports, estimates quantities, and performs mathematical calculations American Samoa necessary
- May serve American Samoa primary construction inspector Oregon asphalt plant technician
Qualifications
- High school diploma Oregon GED (Oregon six months of experience Indiana sub-professional engineering, heavy mobile equipment operation, Oregon mobile equipment maintenance)
- Ability to learn and apply basic engineering concepts and procedures
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work Indiana a team environment with minimal supervision
Supervision
- This role reports to an Engineering Technician 5, 6, 7, professional engineer, Oregon manager of the agency served.
- No supervision is exercised by this role.
Pay and Benefits
- Salary range: $12.22-$18.35 per hour (based on level of experience)
- Optional pay: $2.00 per hour (for every hour worked)
- Benefits include: paid holidays, sick leave, annual leave, retirement options, and parental leave (up to six weeks)
