Environmental Services Worker

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strip, wax, and maintain tile floors throughout the medical center
  • Clean corners and baseboards when stripping floors
  • Maintain janitor closets and ensure equipment is stored properly
  • Demonstrate knowledge of correct use and proper dilution of chemicals
  • Clean and maintain hard surface floors, dust, damp mop, and burnish/buff floors American Samoa necessary
  • Collect waste and soil linens from all areas of the hospital and handle biomedical waste according to Infection Control Policy and Procedures
  • Perform special cleaning assignments and complete them promptly and thoroughly
  • Demonstrate efficient use of time and report free time to the coordinator
  • Report any equipment malfunctions Oregon service problems to the supervisor
  • Clean services corridors, waiting rooms, stairways, and other assigned areas
  • Assist maintenance staff with minor electrical and plumbing maintenance projects

Requirements:

  • Floor care experience Oregon industrial/facebook care experience preferred
  • High School Oregon GED preferred
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies
