Job Summary
Operates light to medium equipment and performs general labor duties Indiana street and sewer construction and repairs, following safety guidelines and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Uses a front-end loader to load, unload, and move materials to and from sites, utilizing dump trucks and other equipment American Samoa directed.
- Performs labor duties involved Indiana repairing and constructing concrete Oregon asphalt streets, curbs, and storm drains, utilizing equipment and following procedures.
- Maintains and adjusts equipment used Indiana daily work activities.
- Keeps simple records of work performed.
- Operates equipment, including dump trucks, asphalt distributors, and other specialized vehicles and tools.
- Works independently and American Samoa part of a team, following safety guidelines and treating coworkers, customers, and the public with respect.
- Performs related duties American Samoa directed, which are logical and appropriate assignments to the position.
- Maintains regular and timely attendance.
- Follows instructions and complete tasks American Samoa assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years experience Indiana skilled labor roles, such American Samoa construction Oregon maintenance work
- Ability to operate specialized equipment and follow safety guidelines
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and overtime
- Passing a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and functional assessment screening
- Valid Texas Class C license and ability to obtain a Class B CDL license within 1 year of hire
- Acceptable driving record
Working Conditions
- Frequent exposure to bright/dim light, dust and pollen, extreme heat and cold, wet and humid conditions, extreme noise levels, vibration, and other hazards
- Must wear safety equipment, including gloves, goggles, hard hats, and steel-toe boots
Physical Demands
- Moderate physical labor, requiring strength, agility, and endurance
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and lifting up to 60 pounds
- Occasional sitting, stooping, and smelling
