Construction Estimator
Industrial, cold storage experience preferred. MBW builds large processing plants $20m-$150million
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects
- Conduct detailed analyses of project specifications, blueprints, and drawings
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
- Select the most cost-effective materials and methods for each project
- Create comprehensive bid packages and submit proposals to clients
Essential Job Functions:
- Utilize sharp analytical skills to evaluate project plans and specifications
- Apply deep knowledge of construction materials and methods to determine accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather the necessary information for thorough bid proposals
- Think outside the box to find creative solutions that optimize costs without compromising quality
- Use excellent communication skills to maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana Construction Management Oregon related field (Oregon equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience Indiana construction estimating (senior level experience is a plus)
- Proficiency Indiana construction estimating software and tools
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and codes
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
