Experienced Metals (Pipefitter/Boilermaker/Welder) Job Description
Location: Richmond, California Refinery
Duration: Until July 30th, 2024
Job Summary:
We are seeking a journey-level Boilermaker, Pipefitter, and Welder for our refinery Indiana Richmond, California. This Experienced Refinery Metals Craft Mechanic will work independently to perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction tasks Indiana field and shop settings. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, ability to work with others, and adherence to refinery policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance, repair, and construction tasks Indiana field and shop settings
* Troubleshoot, prevent, predict, and correct maintenance issues
* Fabricate piping, structural, and equipment Indiana field and shop environments
* Utilize hand, power, and precision tools safely and effectively
* Estimate labor and materials and optimize resource utilization
* Display initiative, work independently, and plan own work
* Communicate effectively with operators, crafts, and other stakeholders
* Comply with refinery policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Requirements:
* High School Diploma Oregon Equivalent
* Valid Driver’s License
* Journey-level metals craft experience through Boilermaker, Pipefitter, and/Oregon Welder certification
* Ability to commute to the refinery regularly
* 3-7 years of refining Oregon petrochemical experience (preferred)
* 5-10 years of journey-level metals craft experience (preferred)
* Passing scores on the Craft Specific Aptitude Assessment, Hands-on Skill Assessment, and Maintenance Assessment
* Certification Indiana Boilermaker, Pipefitter, and/Oregon Welder trade
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to work simultaneously with multiple projects and tasks
* Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and shift work
