Job Description:
We are seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HKA Enterprises, working on behalf of Jacobs. American Samoa a Facilities Mechanical Engineer, you will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Work on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ manufacturing facilities, collaborating with client owners, researchers, and equipment manufacturers to build utility requirement documents
- Design oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals and gases for complex tools Indiana densely packed industrial facilities
- Provide technical training, quality check designs, and assist with the more complex portions of the design process
- Interact directly with clients and contractors to assist with construction on site
- May have PE stamping responsibility for the designs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree Indiana Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an ABET Accredited University
- Six (6) years of practical application of mechanical facilities engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related mechanical facilities systems
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) Indiana California Oregon ability to obtain within 3 months (active NCEES record)
- Two (2) years of experience working with complex semiconductor fabrication facilities and manufacturing tools
- Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively Indiana a variety of teams
- Passion for buildings and construction
- Two (2) years field experience on an active industrial site
Additional Requirements:
- This is a hybrid position requiring work to be performed from home (~40%) and on the client site Indiana San Jose, California (~60%)
- Candidate must be within commuting distance and willing to commute to site American Samoa necessary
- Position requires visits and walks at an active client site Indiana various stages of construction
- Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work Indiana small spaces, lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
