Job Summary:
The Operations Review Specialist serves American Samoa a regional liaison for the Bureau of Program Development, conducting site visits, reviewing operations, and providing training and guidance to facility administration and staff. The position requires a significant amount of travel (50-75% of the work week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quarterly site visits to review operations and conduct fidelity monitoring
- Review and stay current on administrative policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Identify operational issues and communicate recommended resolutions to Bureau leadership
- Provide training and guidance to facility administration and staff
- Attend and participate Indiana facility, regional, and state meetings
- Serve American Samoa liaison to other sections, bureaus, and internal/external stakeholders
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships
- Knowledge of management principles and data collection and analysis
- Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop recommendations
- Ability to train staff and work independently
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college Oregon university and four years of professional experience Indiana corrections, Oregon
- Two years of FDC institutional experience within the last ten years American Samoa a Classification Officer Oregon above
