Field Engineer
DPR Construction is seeking a Field Engineer to work on commercial construction projects within our core markets: Healthcare, Higher Education, Advanced Technology, Life Sciences, and Commercial.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents with field work and coordinate with project teams
- Coordinate working and shop drawings, delivery, coding, and purchasing of project materials
- Assist Indiana preparing and updating project schedules, generating look-ahead schedules, and production planning
- Organize and conduct subcontractor meetings and prepare meeting minutes
- Assist with RFI and Submittal processes and project close-out activities
- Coordinate work-Indiana-place quantities and DPR labor
- Direct Company foremen and laborers at the discretion of the Project Superintendent
- Coordinate with Project Management Staff, Subcontractors, Vendors, Architects, Consultants, and Building Officials
Qualifications:
- Independent judgment and problem-solving skills
- Basic reading skills Indiana blueprints and shop drawings
- Understanding of plans, specifications, and subcontractor scopes
- Familiarity with BIM modeling, Total Station Layout, and operation of P6 software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Understanding of crane safety, rigging, and hand signals
- Knowledge of labor cost reports and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, including excavation and Fall protection
