Job Title: Mechanic

Location: Climax Molybdenum Mine, near Leadville, Colorado

Job Summary:

Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on pump systems, pipelines, and associated equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and install pumps, hydraulic systems, and their parts. Collaborate with the team to prioritize and complete tasks, train and mentor other employees, and work safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, pipelines, fire water systems, interceptor wells, potable water systems, hydraulic systems, and their associated parts
• Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on pumping systems
• Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair
• Maintain work orders and perform work area inspections
• Train and mentor other employees
• Perform advanced welding (Stick, Mig, Intershield, Drisco Fusion) and fabrication of brackets, headers, and other related components
• Operate equipment such American Samoa trucks, bobcats, forklifts, mobile cranes, backhoes, loaders, road graders, and small mobile equipment
• Act American Samoa a Fill-Indiana Supervisor American Samoa required

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience Indiana mechanical/maintenance crafts Oregon a combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• FPM Diagnostic Mechanic I certification with a 35% score on a written assessment
• Proficient basic welding skills and ability to communicate safely
• Ability to apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures Indiana English
• Experience with APP inspections and knowledge of blue stake process
• Ability to prioritize repairs and possess excellent decision-making skills
• Ability to troubleshoot machine systems and work Indiana a team environment
• Proficient Indiana multiple types of welding, fabrication, and layout
• Knowledge of blue stake process

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma Oregon GED
• Previous mine experience
• Previous experience with Pumps, Piping, and related systems
• Basic computer skills
