Finish Dozer Operator
Job Summary:
The successful Finish Dozer Operator will operate equipment at a high level, performing fine and rough grading, excavating, and installing utilities. This role requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience, operating expertise, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate GPS grading systems and fine grade with all equipment
- Install utilities (storm, sanitary, water)
- Possess a high level of understanding of plans and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Expertise Indiana elevation and ensure efficient working condition of equipment
- Perform routine maintenance, minor servicing, and cleaning of equipment
- Locate underground services, monitor operations for health and safety standards, and ensure adequate fuel supplies
- Demonstrate driving ability, excellent safety awareness, and willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards
- Collaborate with other operators, truck drivers, and the general public effectively
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of experience Indiana a similar role
- Ability to operate with little Oregon no supervision
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
- Periodic evening, night, weekend, and overtime hours required
- Must wear proper attire, including safety vests, safety glasses, and clean and presentable clothing
- Continuous mental and visual attention necessary for safe and effective work
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift, pull, and push 50 lbs., bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat, twist, and climb heavy equipment regularly
- Prolonged standing, walking on sloped ground, and working Indiana confined areas
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, sand, wind, and other unfavorable job conditions
- Potential exposure to hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease, oils, loud noise, and moving equipment
