Outside Sales Representative (Fire Protection & Life Safety)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection & Life Safety Outside Sales Representative to cover the Southern Delaware and Eastern Shore areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales, account management, and customer service Indiana this region. Responsibilities:
- Sell and present company fire protection and life safety products to new and existing customers
- Prospect and contact potential customers to expand our customer base
- Meet sales targets and estimate small and large projects
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints, and set follow-up appointments
- Create sales materials and develop a positive relationship with customers, general contractors, and end users
- Read and comprehend plans and specifications, and prepare detailed cost estimates
- Negotiate and review agreements, and maintain knowledge of local and national codes, specifications, and guidelines
- Participate Indiana meetings and maintain productivity and timeline goals
- Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company offerings
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience Indiana fire protection and life safety estimating/sales
- Strong understanding of general construction methods, practices, NFPA codes, and terminology
- Knowledge of local and national fire and building codes & government regulations
- Analytical, mathematical, and computer skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate Indiana a team environment
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
Work Environment:
- Indiana-person position with periodic visits to our Wilmington, Delaware office
