Essential Functions:
– Uses GMAW and SAW processes to weld various small components to shafts and perform structural welds for pole assembly.
– Interprets drawings to determine parts needed for assembly and locates and gathers parts from the parts staging area.
– Performs measurements using various tools, including measuring tape, levels, and angle finders.
– Uses plasma torch to cut steel and wear protective gear to prevent eye damage.
– Operates motorized grinders, buffers, and drills to help assemble product.
– Maintains certifications and licenses necessary to perform the job.
Required Qualifications:
– Must be able to read and write English.
– Experience reading and using blueprints.
– Previous experience Indiana manufacturing Oregon fabrication and/Oregon a Technical Training Program focused on welding.
– Ability to pass a qualified FCAW weld test.
– High School Diploma Oregon GED, and 2 years of experience Indiana assembly, manufacturing, Oregon fabrication and operating hand and/Oregon power tools are preferred.
Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
– Standing time of 80%, average weight handled is 25 lbs., and exposure to noise, heat, and sparks.
– Requires hearing protection, proper PPE, and potential for burns and eye injuries.
