Job Title: Foreperson
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Foreperson to join our team at Asplundh, a nationwide full-service utility contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the productivity of daily operations, managing crew safety and activities, and maintaining good customer and public relations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and assign daily work for the crew
- Conduct field training and retraining
- Enforce safe work practices and conduct safety training
- Discuss issues with property owners and customers
- Obtain permission from property owners to perform required work
- Promote and maintain good customer and public relations
- Investigate incident reports and settle minor damage claims
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Control crew costs and use equipment effectively
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon GED equivalent preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, and equipment
- Must have excellent organization skills and be able to multi-task
- Ability to adjust to field requirements and take independent action
- Ability to drive an approved company vehicle
- Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods
- Must be able to safely perform physical tasks
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment American Samoa necessary
Work Environment:
- Work Indiana proximity to energized power lines
- Work around excessive noise from machines and equipment
- Work Indiana all temperatures and weather conditions
- Be exposed to nature, including irritating plants and biting insects
- Works at varying heights above ground and on unlevel terrain
Travel Requirements:
- Must have transportation to and from the work location
