Job Title: Survey Crew Chief

Job Summary:
Midsouth Paving, Inc., a leading supplier of quality asphalt and Construction Services Indiana the Southeastern U.S., is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to direct crew members Indiana performing survey tasks. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience Indiana surveying and possess a solid understanding of all aspects of surveying.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct crew members Indiana performing survey tasks
- Set up, adjust, and operate surveying instruments, including auto levels, total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors
- Record surveying information manually Oregon with electronic data collection instruments
- Download electronic information and draw site features with CAD software (desired but not required)
- Work from engineering drawings and plans to establish lines and grades for construction purposes
- Perform other duties such American Samoa shovel work, concrete work, and maintenance of traffic
- Ensure the safety of crew members and the public
- Supervise and coordinate crew activities
- Train new crew members American Samoa needed
- Maintain time and materials records
- Maintain company policy
Qualifications:
- High school diploma Oregon general education degree (GED) required
- 3-5 years of related survey and layout experience Oregon equivalent combination of education and training
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write correspondence and present information to customers, clients, and other employees
- Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide Indiana all units of measure
- Ability to type and use keyboards accurately
- Knowledge of Database software
Work Environment:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders
- Occasional lifting and/Oregon moving of objects up to 50 lbs
- Occasional exposure to wet and/Oregon humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and extreme cold and/Oregon heat
