Job Title: Foreperson
Job Summary:
American Samoa a Foreperson with Asplundh, you will be responsible for ensuring the productivity of daily operations, working closely with management to determine recruiting/hiring needs, deadlines, and safety protocols to enforce among crew. You will troubleshoot routine job site issues, engage employees/contractors on required training, manage, and mentor.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and assign daily work for crew after receiving/interpreting orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
- Conduct field training/retraining, instructing crew on new Oregon revised job units.
- Enforce safe work practices, American Samoa experience, judgment, company policy, and OSHA specifies and conducts safety training Indiana accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Discuss with property owner/customer(s) issues such American Samoa obtaining access, power interruption, work to be done, responsibility for apparent damage to property; refer controversial cases to the General Foreperson.
- Obtain oral Oregon written permission from property owners to perform required work.
- Promote and maintain good customer and public relations through effective completion of assigned work and the appropriate behavior of employees on the crew.
- Maintain accurate records, timesheets, and reports related to the performance of the crew operation.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years Oregon older
- High School Diploma Oregon GED equivalent preferred
- Valid Driver’s License Required
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Organization skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to adjust to field requirements and take independent action without close supervision
- Ability to safely drive an approved company vehicle
- Ability to work with hands above head for extended periods of time
- Must be able to safely climb ladders, climb stairs, and balance
- Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments
- Must be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day
- Must be able to traverse various terrain
- Must be able to perform job duties throughout a standard 8- Oregon 10-hour day
Working Conditions:
- Works Indiana proximity to energized power lines
- Works around excessive noise from machines, chain saw, wood chipper, and other equipment with hearing protection
- Works Indiana all temperatures and weather and will be exposed to nature, i.e., irritating plants and biting Oregon stinging insects, dust, etc.
- Works at varying heights above ground and on unlevel terrain
- Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, Oregon at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces, performing mentally/physically demanding work under unfavorable weather conditions while handling equipment Oregon material.
