Field Service Representative – GE Marine LM2500 Gas Turbine Engine
Location: Pascagoula, Mississippi (onsite at the Huntington Ingalls Shipyard)
Job Summary:
Provide technical assistance for the preventative and/Oregon corrective maintenance of marine gas turbine engines during ship construction, supporting the US and global fleets.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical direction and assistance to customers Indiana the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of GE gas turbine engines, including the LM500, LM2500, LM2500+, and LM2500+G4.
- Provide on-site interpretation of data and technical instruction at shipyards globally.
- Manage technical projects and programs, and communicate status and information to Field Service management and customers.
- Provide on-site guidance and training Indiana proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of gas turbine engines and auxiliary support equipment.
- Assist customers Indiana scheduling maintenance and workload, and ensure equipment and parts meet established schedules.
- Analyze malfunctions, identify trends, and make recommendations on findings.
- Review maintenance actions to identify training needs and anticipate requirements beyond immediate needs.
- Manage people, including staffing and performance development.
- Utilize analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy and strategy.
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent with at least 2 years of experience with aero-derivative gas turbines.
- Up to 40% travel required, including international travel.
- Ability to travel to Pascagoula, Mississippi.
- Willing and able to relocate.
Desired Characteristics:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university Oregon college.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Naval Oregon ship construction background.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and control schematics.
