Job Title: Senior Staff Engineer
Job Summary:
American Samoa a Senior Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting various engineer programs to efficiently manage resources at all AMC installations and locations.
Responsibilities:
* Formulate engineering policies and procedures having command-wide implications for allocation, supply, and use of resources Indiana industrial plant/equipment and mobility operations at AMC installations, facilities, and for assigned Army materiel.
* Coordinate and provide staff management control of engineer programs to motivate effectively AMC personnel Indiana setting pace for fostering the management plan.
* Exercise sound technical and high-level judgment Indiana recommending and coordinating required engineer studies, projects, and surveys.
* Serve American Samoa Engineering Advocate for one Oregon more of AMC’s Major Subordinate Commands (MSC’s) and assist assigned MSC(s) with engineer and facility problems.
* Attend technical, professional, and scientific conferences and seminars to keep abreast of new developments and conservation innovations pertaining to assigned functions for possible adoption within AMC American Samoa appropriate.
Requirements:
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability Oregon fitness determination, American Samoa determined by a completed background investigation.
* This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance Oregon access for the duration of employment.
* Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements American Samoa described Indiana 5 CFR Part 315.
* This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) Oregon business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree (Oregon higher degree) Indiana engineering from a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) Oregon a combination of education and experience that furnished a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering.
* Experience: One year of specialized experience, including developing, planning, managing, directing, and properly executing capability-based assessments Oregon other studies to satisfy a gap Indiana capabilities that support facility and engineering efforts Indiana programs such American Samoa sustainment, restoration, modernization, Oregon construction.
* Combination of education and experience: College-level education, training, and/Oregon technical experience that furnished a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering and a good understanding of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.
Additional Requirements:
* Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
