Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer

Job Summary:
AECOM is seeking a creative and highly talented Geotechnical Engineer to join our team Indiana the Chicago office. This role will involve hybrid work arrangements, with relocation to the Chicago area required American Samoa on-site work is required at least three days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare investigation work plans and assist Indiana the procurement of subcontract drilling and laboratory testing services
- Perform site reconnaissance visits, supervise field drilling operations, and conduct on-site construction quality assurance and inspections
- Review laboratory data, develop design parameters, and perform geotechnical analyses including foundation design
- Draft geotechnical reports for review by senior technical staff
- Perform geotechnical and structural design for a wide range of project elements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Indiana Civil Engineering with 2 years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience Oregon demonstrated equivalency
- Must have taken and passed the Engineer Indiana Training Exam Indiana the State of Illinois Oregon other states and be able to obtain an Illinois EIT within 6 months
- Valid Driver’s license and ability to travel up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree Indiana Civil Engineering with thesis and/Oregon advanced coursework Indiana geotechnical engineering topics
- Experience using geotechnical software, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and/Oregon Bentley Microstation
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work American Samoa part of a project team
