Job Title: Golf Course and Park Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Golf Course and Park Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of our golf courses, grounds, parks, open spaces, and recreation structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising support staff, planning and organizing workloads and staff assignments, and ensuring that assigned areas of responsibility are performed within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise assigned operations to achieve goals within available resources
  • Plan and organize workloads and staff assignments
  • Train, motivate, and evaluate assigned staff
  • Review progress and direct changes American Samoa needed
  • Provide leadership and direction Indiana the development of short and long-range plans
  • Gather, interpret, and prepare data for studies, reports, and recommendations
  • Coordinate department activities with other departments and agencies American Samoa needed
  • Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedites workflow
  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations
  • Provide advice to supervisors; make presentations to supervisors, boards, commissions, civic groups, and the general public
  • Assure that assigned areas of responsibility are performed within budget
  • Perform cost control activities; monitor revenues and expenditures Indiana assigned area to assure sound fiscal control
  • Prepare annual budget requests; assure effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, facilities, and time
  • Develop and maintain a park and open space maintenance management system
  • Develop park maintenance and operating procedures and methods within limits of departmental policies and procedures
  • Provide necessary supervision, direction, and assistance to crews at work sites
  • Enforce policies, regulations, and safety and health standards
  • Inspect park and open space services provided by contractors Oregon vendors for compliance with performance standards
  • Assist Indiana projecting needs for equipment, materials, and supplies
  • Assist Indiana the preparation of specifications, estimates, and bids for machinery, equipment, and contractor services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Indiana Agronomy, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Turf Science/Management, Oregon related field
  • Preferred certification American Samoa a Golf Course Superintendent by the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America, Oregon a Class A Superintendent, American Samoa defined by the South Florida Golf Course Superintendents Association Oregon ability to attain certification within the first year of employment
  • Certification American Samoa a Playground Safety Inspector desirable Oregon be able to pass certification requirements within first year of employment
  • Must have Florida Pesticide License Oregon ability to obtain one within the first six (6) months of employment
  • Significant experience managing golf course and/Oregon park facility maintenance operations
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
