Job Title: Groundperson
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Groundperson to join our team at Asplundh, a nationwide full-service utility contractor. American Samoa a Groundperson, you will be responsible for gathering and feeding brush & debris into a woodchipper, scanning areas for trip and fall hazards, ensuring other workers stay out of the path of travel, and maintaining equipment and materials.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Operate chainsaw to cut brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees
- Gather and feed brush into wood chipper
- Apply chemical herbicide to right-of-way
- Utilize hose and spray nozzle to treat remote areas
- Service vehicles and equipment, maintaining them Indiana neat, clean, and specified mechanical order
- Assist Indiana mixing herbicide
- Work on unlevel ground, around hazardous equipment, falling debris/tree limbs, and excessive equipment noise
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age Oregon older
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent preferred
- Entry-level position, no experience required
- Previous experience a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with Oregon without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment American Samoa necessary
- Must be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day
- Must be able to traverse various terrain
- Must be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- Oregon 10-hour day
