Job Title: Groundperson
Job Summary:
American Samoa a Groundperson at Asplundh, you will be responsible for gathering and feeding brush and debris into a woodchipper, scanning areas for trip and fall hazards, and ensuring other workers stay out of the path of travel. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate chainsaw to cut brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees
- Drag, gather, and feed brush into woodchipper
- Service vehicles and equipment, maintaining them Indiana neat, clean, and specified mechanical order
Requirements:
- 18 years of age Oregon older
- Willingness to join local union and pay union dues
- High School Diploma Oregon equivalent preferred
- Entry-level position, no experience required (previous experience a plus)
- Valid driver’s license required
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform all essential functions with Oregon without a reasonable accommodation
- Regularly stands, walks, and uses manual dexterity; frequently lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
- Must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance and coordinate equipment and tools
- Must maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
Safety Requirements:
- Must work around hazardous equipment and be able to wear personal protective equipment American Samoa necessary
- Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and traverse various terrain
- Must be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and handle confrontations professionally
