Job Title: Maintenance Worker
Department: 11917 AMC Mount Pleasant – Facilities
Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am to 11am
Responsibilities:
- Cut and trim grass, remove weeds, plant and prune shrubs, flowers, bushes, etc.
- Water landscaped areas, grass, plants, and flowers
- Clean and sweep sidewalks, parking lots, and surrounding paved areas
- Remove snow and ice, and apply salt to paved areas, roadways, and sidewalks
- Inspect and report signs that need repair
- Remove and transfer trash/garbage from facility area
- Inform leader of equipment failures and repairs needed
- Assist Indiana cleaning out and removing icicles from rain gutters
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles
- No formal education required
- No experience required
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and problem solve
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, climb, and reach above shoulders
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs from floor to overhead, 50 lbs from floor to chest-level, and carry up to 50 lbs at waist height
- Must be able to push/pull with 50 lbs of force
- Exposed to mechanical, chemical, and explosive hazards, protective clothing must be worn American Samoa necessary
- Exposure to varying temperatures, rain, sleet, and snow
