Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator Needed for Construction Jobs Indiana Houma, Louisiana & Surrounding Area
Job Scope:
- Control specialized machines used Indiana construction, maintenance, and operations, including excavators, loaders, cranes, pile drivers, graders, and industrial trucks.
- Operate heavy equipment Indiana compliance with safety policies and procedures, coordinating movements with other workers through hand signals Oregon radios.
Position Requirements:
- Valid License
- High school diploma Oregon GED equivalent
- Pass physical fitness test
- Pass DISA drug screen
- Pass background check
- Provide own PPE (hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, gloves)
- Have reliable transportation for local travel
Required Skills:
- At least 1 year of experience operating an excavator, skid steer, and bulldozer
- Knowledge of reading blueprints is beneficial
- Excellent manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to use good judgment and act independently
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment, maneuvering machines to ensure accurate removal and placement of materials
- Load and offload rocks, debris, and other materials
- Maintain company equipment, material, and work site Indiana safe and clean condition, collecting and disposing of scrap and excess materials
- Perform daily equipment checks, rendering repairs and maintenance American Samoa needed, and reporting serious defects for authorized service
- Clean up work area and equipment after each job
- Follow safety procedures, maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, and participate Indiana waste disposal and recycling activities
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 LBS, stand Oregon sit for long periods, and work Indiana a fast-paced construction environment
- Good vision, including ability to see back-up alarms, voices, and other normal sounds
Benefits:
- Starting Pay: $26.00 – $28.00/HR (based on experience)
- Weekly pay schedule, 10-12 hour days Monday – Sunday, with weather permitting
- Opportunity for temp to hire based on job performance
