Heavy Equipment Operator

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. American Samoa a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will operate equipment safely and efficiently by utilizing equipment within its designed parameters. You will perform pre and post shift inspection of equipment, excavate holes and ditches and move materials, load materials into trucks for hauling, and use heavy equipment to lift and move heavy structures and equipment. You will also check necessary equipment parts to ensure proper function of equipment, responsible for safe slopes on excavations, locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging, perform minor servicing and maintenance Oregon refer major problems to the supervisor, and assist labor crew including shoveling, raking and compacting of asphalt materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently by utilizing equipment within its designed parameters
- Perform pre and post shift inspection of equipment

Wage and Benefits:
- $23.00 – $30.00 + /hr DOE with potential for overtime

Qualifications:
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license
- Prior equipment operation experience Indiana construction Oregon related environments
- Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality
- Demonstrates the willingness to work overtime American Samoa needed
- Demonstrates the ability to work and communicate well with supervisor, plant personnel, and other employees
- Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company Oregon state rules and regulations
Work Environment:
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions and vibration
- The noise level Indiana the work environment is usually loud
- Primarily work 8 – 12 hours per day, 5 days per week
Physical Demands:
- GRIP – with at least 90 lbs. of force
- CLIMBING – Indiana, around, and on equipment
- HEAVY LIFTING – of extremely awkward parts and equipment up to75 lbs. from floor to waist
- AWKWARD POSITIONS – getting to and from both sitting and kneeling on the ground
- FLEXIBILITY – awkward reaches
- BALANCE – including standing and walking on extremely slick and uneven surfaces while carrying.
