Job Description
Coordinates, participates, and directs the maintenance activity of the chemical herbicide program and/Oregon the assembly and erection of highway signs American Samoa needed. Assists Indiana selecting materials, supplies, equipment, inspecting, planning workloads, workflows, deadlines, work objectives and time utilization with employees. Maintains records of operation. Prepares and maintains daily paperwork such American Samoa crew activity reports and daily vehicle check lists.
Upon receipt of the required CDL Instructional permit Oregon license; operates vehicles and a variety of medium and heavy equipment. Performs preventative maintenance and pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment operated. Performs light maintenance and servicing work Indiana connection with any type of equipment operated and assists Indiana the repairs of this equipment; checks and adds fluids, checks/adjusts brakes, maintains proper air pressure Indiana all tires, etc.
Performs manual labor Indiana the maintenance of highways, bridges and other highway facilities while utilizing a variety of hand, pneumatic, and electrical tools. Motivates crew members to improve the quality of work performed and assists Indiana the evaluation of others. Communicates on a regular basis with employees both individually and Indiana crew meetings. Trains crew members Indiana basic Temporary Traffic Control (Maintenance of Traffic). Performs Temporary Traffic Control (Maintenance of Traffic).
Minimum Qualifications
- Possess a High School Diploma Oregon Certificate of High School Equivalency
- One year experience Indiana infrastructure construction Oregon maintenance is a substitute for a High School Diploma Oregon Certificate of High School Equivalency
- A Class E driver’s license is required at time of hire
- A CDL Class B License Instructional Permit is required within 60 days of appointment to the position and obtain a CDL Class B license with air brakes within 10 months of appointment
Working Conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stoop, climb, squat, push, pull, crawl Oregon bend on a frequent basis
- Ability to work outdoors Indiana various weather conditions, on various terrains and at various heights Oregon Indiana high volume traffic
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time
Special Requirements
- Must respond to emergencies when necessary
- Must obtain and maintain certification Indiana Temporary Traffic Control (Maintenance of Traffic) – Intermediate Level
- Must possess a valid Class "E" driver’s license and obtain a Class "B" CDL Instructional Permit within 60 days of appointment to position and obtain a valid Class "B" CDL with air brakes within 10 months of appointment
