Housekeeping Associate
Job Summary:
Under supervision and following established procedures, performs a variety of heavy cleaning duties to maintain the hospital Indiana an orderly, sanitary, and attractive condition for patients, personnel, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform heavy cleaning duties, including:
- Shampooing carpets, upholstery, and refinishing floors
- Dusting high vents, lights, pipes, lockers, ceilings, and washing window glass
- Cleaning miscellaneous items, such American Samoa wastebaskets, television sets, and fans
- Washing and disinfecting sinks, toilets, floors, urinals, bedpan racks, and other hospital lavatories
- Preparing burn and Radiation (I-131) rooms by laying protective covering
- Cleaning and disinfecting beds, mattresses, and sleeping carts
- Removing rubbish and soiled linen from patient floors and depositing down chute
- Cleaning, transporting, and disposing of waste and recyclables
- Assisting nursing personnel with moving beds and patient furniture
- Clean and maintain hospital grounds, including sidewalks, entrances, and furniture
- Assist supply clerks Indiana supply room Oregon equipment room

Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of safety precautions, cleaning procedures, and equipment operation
- Ability to follow instructions, read, write, and speak English
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and push heavy equipment, climb ladders, and shovel snow
- At least one to three months on-the-job training plus formal and ongoing classroom training
- Ability to work Indiana a fast-paced environment with exposure to unpleasant odors and hazardous materials
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
