Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and sketches
- Operate equipment such American Samoa lathes, mills, drill press, press-breaks, shears, and cutting tables
- Measure and mark out cutting and bending lines
- Set up metalwork machinery
- Double-check design specifications before commencing with cutting work
- Fabricate and construct metal components
- Perform quality checks on completed products
- Ensure working environment is clean and safe
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions
- Other tasks American Samoa assigned by management
Qualifications:
- 4 years of combined experience Indiana welding and fabrication, machining, Oregon sheet metal work
- Excellent proficiency at layout and welding of stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- Experience with welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA, etc.)
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to learn new skills quickly
- Thorough understanding of safety procedures, including lockout tag out and PPE use
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT certification (may be required)
Pay:
- $28.00 – $31.00/hr, depending on education and experience.
