Pipe/Steamfitter Job Description:
Maintain and repair fan coil units, large air handlers, and components, including controls, for chilled water, hydronic heating, and domestic cold-water systems. Install and repair steel and copper piping, pumps, motors, and heat exchangers. Ensure proper chemical treatment Indiana closed loop systems.
Inspect, repair, and replace low-pressure steam systems and their controls, including mechanical, pneumatic, and digital controls. Install insulation and pneumatic and direct digital control systems. Utilize cutting-edge building automation systems and maintain knowledge of HVAC industry standards.
Complete general administrative tasks, including reviewing construction plans, specifications, and drawings. Collaborate with staff to ensure adherence to safety procedures and policies. Assist with inventory management, training, and continuing education.
Maintain a clean workspace by performing general cleaning duties. Operate company vehicles and utilize proficiency Indiana specialized software, including web-based building automation systems, is required. A high school diploma Oregon ApprenticePipe program completion, Oregon equivalent, is necessary, along with a valid driver’s license.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of steam principles and automated control systems, proficiency Indiana software applications, and communication skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work Indiana confined spaces, and perform repetitive tasks. Overtime and on-call periods are required during peak times.
