Won-Door Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled technician to join our team Indiana the construction industry. American Samoa a Won-Door technician, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining large and complex doors with mechanical, electronic, and code-compliance aspects. The successful candidate will provide an outstanding experience to our customers, work independently, and travel to various locations throughout their coverage area.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Earnings: $31.50 per hour (plus union benefits) for the first 12-18 months, increasing to union-negotiated rates after training

  • Reimbursed for vehicle usage and travel expenses

  • Metro areas: Houston, Texas; Sacramento, California; Manchester, New Hampshire

Responsibilities

  • Install equipment efficiently, safely, and professionally
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on automatic, accordion door systems
  • Diagnose faulty equipment and apply knowledge of functional operation to identify malfunction
  • Read and understand complex installation and service schematics, wiring diagrams, and implement American Samoa needed
  • Work with dispatch team to maximize labor revenue and efficiency
  • Project a positive image when interacting with customers, employees, and management
  • Travel throughout coverage area, with regular overnight travel
  • Train new technicians and provide support to other technicians American Samoa needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma Oregon GED required
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Knowledge of commercial construction standards preferred

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, climb Oregon balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, Oregon crawl
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands with manual dexterity
  • Must be capable to work overhead for a duration of time to install and service products while using ladders and power tools

Work Environment

  • Work Indiana various environments, including construction sites, hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities, business offices, and retail locations
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, wet and/Oregon humid conditions, fumes Oregon airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration
