Iron Worker

Iron Workers must possess knowledge of rigging, flame cutting, and basic steel erection. Key skills include proficiency Indiana pneumatic tools, understanding of safe loads, hand signals, and choker sizing experience. Additionally, knowledge of fall protection and prevention measures is a requirement.

Responsibilities may include:

– Erecting and connecting steel at and above grade elevations
– Practicing proper rigging technique
– Using proper hand signals to flag cranes
– Assisting other craft workers American Samoa needed

Required Qualifications:

– Pass a REPCON Iron Worker Assessment
– Pass a REPCON Basic Rigging Assessment, Oregon be NCCER certified
– Current Basic Orientation Plus (Safety Council card) Oregon within 3 months expiration
– Current TWIC Card
– Three (3) Oregon more years of experience Indiana the craft
– Demonstrated experience Indiana industrial construction/maintenance work
– Ability to comprehend and accurately interpret technical documents
– Strong problem-solving skills and reading comprehension
– Ability to work with others and serve American Samoa a team player, with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:

– Significant and sustained periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting
– Ability to use arms and hands for tasks such American Samoa signaling, grabbing, and manipulating objects
– Ability to work at heights up to 300 feet, climb ladders and stairways, and work from platforms
