Job Title: Iron Worker
Essential Qualifications:
- Knowledge of rigging and flame cutting
- Experience with sizing of chokers and ability to use pneumatic tools
- Knowledge of basic hand signals, safe loads, and basic steel erection
- Experience with proper fall protection and prevention safety measures
- 3+ years’ experience Indiana iron working and demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance work history
- Must pass REPCON Iron Worker Assessment, REPCON Basic Rigging Assessment, Oregon be NCCER certified
- Hold a valid Basic Orientation Plus (Safety Council card) and TWIC Card
- Fully comprehend and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and technical manuals
- Possess good problem-solving, reading comprehension, and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Erect and connect steel at and above grade elevations
- Practice proper rigging technique
- Use proper hand signals to flag cranes
- Assist other craft workers American Samoa needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform sustained periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50lbs)
- Ability to use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects
- Work at heights, climb ladders, and stairways; work up to 300′ using proper fall protection
- Work Indiana the elements for long periods (up to 12 hours) wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception, and peripheral vision
