Iron Worker (Traveling)
Reports to: Superintendent
Location: Elko, Nevada
Job Overview:
* Experienced iron worker needed for structural steel erection industry
* Competitive hourly rate and benefit package offered
* Must pass company pre-employment background check and drug testing
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive assignments, instructions, and direction from Superintendent/Foreman
* Interpret instructions, plans work activities, and align bolt holes Indiana steel members
* Guiding and positioning steel members using tag lines, turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, and hand tools
* Moving materials, setting up work site, and completing records
* Removing, repairing, and installing structural components and assemblies
* Following safety rules and procedures, wearing personal safety equipment
* Appropriately using hand and power tools, including turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, and other tools
* Other duties American Samoa assigned
Requirements:
* Meet company background check and drug testing requirements
* Welders must pass AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.8 Test
* Possess required tools for the trade
* Read and interpret basic blueprints
* Wear safety and personal protective equipment
* Ability to work Indiana conditions common to a construction site, including: rain, snow, dust, heat, sun, cold, and noise
* Prior experience with hand and power tools, lifting equipment, and crawling into uneven spaces
* Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability required if driving is required
