Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Ironworker to join our team Indiana Katy, Texas. American Samoa an Ironworker, you will assemble and secure structural supports according to specifications, use tools to adjust and fasten steel beams, and lift and move heavy equipment and materials using mechanical equipment. You will also attach loads using chains, slings, cables, hooks, and other related equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and secure structural supports according to specifications
- Use practical knowledge of structural steel assembly and installation
- Use tools to adjust and fasten steel beams
- Lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials using mechanical equipment
- Attach loads using chains, slings, cables, hooks, and other related equipment
- Manual handling and secure application of rigging equipment
- Attach and detach loads effectively
- Effective communication with the rigging team (other riggers and crane operator)
- Familiarity with standard crane hand signals
- Ability to assess weights of loads and equipment needed to lift safely
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience American Samoa an ironworker
- Knowledgeable of crane signals (hand and verbal)
- Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week when needed
- Ability to meet all physical demands of the job with Oregon without accommodations
- Ability to follow company safety procedures and industry known best work practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience Indiana a fabrication shop environment
- NCCER Ironworker certification
- 3+ years previous experience American Samoa an ironworker
