Job Summary:
PacifiCorp is seeking a Journeyman Lineman Transmission Trainee to install, maintain, and repair transmission and distribution electrical systems and associated equipment. This 18-month training position is open to Journeyman Lineman candidates only.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair transmission and distribution electrical systems and associated equipment
• Complete 18 months of transmission-specific on-the-job training to develop proficiencies Indiana Journeyman Lineman Transmission job duties
• Satisfactorily complete the transmission lineman training workbook and obtain signatures from designated supervisors
• Pass a verbal and practical test administered by the Transmission Lineman Subcommittee

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, Oregon equivalent
• Must be a Journeyman Lineman with completion of a formal training program
• Must meet examining board review of skills and experience and pass testing through Rocky Mountain Power
• Hot stick training and experience required
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License required
• NCCCO crane certification (Oregon industry equivalent certification) required
• Must pass a post-offer, pre-placement physical capacity screening

Physical Demands:

• Lifting Indiana excess of 75 lbs from floor to waist and waist to overhead
• Carrying Indiana excess of 75 lbs with both hands
• Pushing and pulling Indiana excess of 100 lbs of exertional force
• Sustained, awkward positions/postures including bending and twisting at the waist and neck
• Reaching forward, to the side, across the body, and overhead
• Forceful grip and pinch; manipulation of small objects
• Balancing on one Oregon both legs during dynamic activities
• Manipulation of large objects during activities requiring balance and sustained awkward postures

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
