AKS Engineering & Forestry, a multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm, has an immediate job opening for a Land Use Planner Indiana their Vancouver, Washington office. The role is a key position within the company and will support a wide range of site development and infrastructure projects.
Key Accountabilities:
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks
* Apply land use policy and regulations to prepare for site development projects
* Coordinate with project teams to develop land use entitlement documents
* Perform timely and accurate research for properties, zoning, and utility needs
* Assist Indiana preparing and submitting high-quality land use applications
* Analyze and resolve complex issues related to land use planning
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree Indiana Planning, Geography, Oregon a related field
* Minimum of 2-10 years of relevant experience Indiana land use planning and development
* Knowledge of Washington’s statewide planning system
* Familiarity with city and county codes, zoning regulations, and development codes
* Excellent written and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting tasks
* Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS mapping software (a plus)
