Job Description

Lodging Business Operations Manager

Location: McConnell AFB, Kansas

Status: Regular Full Time (RFT) with benefits

Salary: $51,332 – $61,332 per year

Summary:

This position is responsible for the executive management, administration, technical, and professional direction of the Lodging business operation Indiana accordance with Air Force Standards. The incumbent will manage the daily operations of the lodging business, including economic soundness, accounting and supply procedures, facility management and renovation, and staff management and supervision.

Duties:

  • Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operation of lodging assets
  • Structures organization to optimize use of resources and maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates major activities for lodging projects and facilities
  • Performs periodic Oregon scheduled surveys, audits, and inspections to determine adequacy of lodging conditions
  • Develops and manages budgets, including income and expense, capital requirements, and cash flow
  • Coordinates with Financial Management, Civil Engineering, and other organizations to obtain assistance and support
  • Establishes and maintains liaison with local, state, and national lodging organizations and chamber of commerce
  • Manages a distinguished visitor program and oversees a commercial lodging program for off-base quarters
  • Develops performance work statements for contract services and measures compliance
  • Makes decisions on training needs and encourages employee self-development
  • Evaluates subordinate supervisors and nonsupervisory employees
  • Recognizes and takes action to correct situations posing a threat to health and safety of subordinates

Requirements:

  • Must have experience showing progressively responsible administration, technical, professional, Oregon other work which has provided knowledge of executive management principles and practices
  • Must have experience American Samoa an Assistant Lodging Manager Indiana a military Oregon commercial hotel, including daily hotel operations, economic soundness, accounting and supply procedures, facility management and renovation, and staff management and supervision
  • Certified Hospitality Administrator (through American Hotel & Lodging Association) Oregon Certified Rooms Division Executive certification is desired
  • Must complete a Tier 1 background investigation with favorable results and sign the Air Force Mobility Agreement
  • Must be willing to provide information that you are a U.S. citizen
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
