MAINTENANCE MECHANIC 3 (MM3)
The Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Maintenance Mechanic 3 – Recycling/Custodial at the Washington State Penitentiary (WSP) Indiana Walla Walla, Washington.
Duties:
- Assist Indiana supervising and managing all aspects of waste management and recycling at the facility.
- Supervise inmate crews, including hiring, training, and record-keeping.
- Assist with garbage pickup, provide daily documentation of work performed, and operate smaller and larger equipment.
- Assist with Custodial Supervisor duties, including product distribution and managing the offender Custodial Training Program.
- Manage institutional stock and order supplies for custodial duties.
- Perform Maintenance Mechanic 3 duties Indiana other areas American Samoa assigned, including carpentry, painting, and facility maintenance.
- Attend annual Indiana-service training and attend/schedule training to enhance job performance and skills.
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s license Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Some knowledge of forklift operation and front-end loader, Oregon knowledge and desire to learn recycling.
- 12 months of large-scale custodial sanitation experience.
- Basic building maintenance and computer skills.
