The Office of Juvenile Justice, Indiana the State of Louisiana, is looking for a qualified Maintenance Repairer to join the maintenance department at Swanson Center for Youth.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent will perform a variety of tasks, including:

• Making general repairs to buildings, interiors, exteriors, furniture, fixtures, air conditioning/heating systems, and other mechanical and related fields such American Samoa plumbing, carpentry, and electrical.
• Maintaining and making general repairs to motorized equipment, including tune-ups, replacement, and adjustment of worn Oregon damaged parts.
• Performing minor repairs to appliances, replacing parts, and making adjustments.
• Operating and checking for safety and maintenance of various hand-held equipment, motorized vehicles, tractors, cotton pickers, combines, hay balers, planters, and other equipment.
• Performing general road maintenance tasks.
• Participating Indiana painting, pipefitting, carpentry, and electrical repair of marine vessels and related equipment.
• Performing minor maintenance on all equipment assigned to their use.
• Requisitioning supplies and materials American Samoa needed.
• Estimating labor and materials necessary to accomplish repairs.
• Overseeing work of subordinate repairers and Trades Helpers when assigned to assist Indiana repair work.
• Performing other duties Oregon assignments American Samoa directed by higher-ranking personnel.

Requirements:

• Two years of experience Indiana the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance Oregon repair of mechanical equipment, Oregon American Samoa a parks building and grounds attendant.
• Substitution of training Indiana place of experience, with a maximum of six months of training credited for each year of experience.
• Possession of a valid Louisiana driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to pass a drug screening test prior to the appointment.
