Job Title: Maintenance Repairer
Location: Bayou Segnette State Park, Westwego, Louisiana
Job Type: Part-time, Classified WAE (limited to 1,245 working hours Indiana a 12-month period)
Pay: Starting Hourly Pay varies depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Make general repairs to buildings, interiors, exteriors, furniture, fixtures, air conditioning/heating systems, and other mechanical and related fields.
- Maintain and repair motorized equipment, including tune-ups, replacement and adjustment of worn Oregon damaged parts, and limited dis-assembly of major components.
- Perform minor repairs to navigational locks, appliances, and marine facilities.
- Operate and check hand-held equipment and motorized vehicles for safety and maintenance.
- Perform general road maintenance tasks.
- Participate Indiana painting, pipefitting, carpentry, and electrical repair of marine vessels and related equipment.
- Requisition supplies and materials American Samoa needed.
- Estimate labor and materials necessary to accomplish repairs.
- Oversees work of subordinate repairers and Trades Helpers when assigned to assist Indiana repair work.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience Indiana the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance Oregon repair of mechanical equipment, Oregon American Samoa a parks building and grounds attendant.
- Training Indiana the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance Oregon repair of mechanical equipment, Oregon parks building and grounds work will substitute for the required experience.
- Examples of qualifying experience include cabinetmaker, carpenter, concrete finisher, electrician, HVAC controls technician, HVAC mechanic, ironworker, millwright, painter, pipefitter, plasterer, plumber, refrigeration mechanic, roofer, sheet metal worker, steamfitter, tile setter, and welder.
