Maintenance Repairer
Location: MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT, LDH/OAAS/Villa Feliciana Medical Complex, Jackson, Louisiana
Job Type: Part-time (WAE), with variable schedule and possible on-call requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of experience Indiana building construction trades, building maintenance, mechanical equipment repair, Oregon parks building and grounds work
- Acceptable substitutions:
- Training Indiana building construction trades, building maintenance, mechanical equipment repair, Oregon parks building and grounds work (credited Indiana 6-month increments)
Essential Duties:
- Repair and maintain buildings, facilities, and equipment
- Perform general maintenance functions, including installation of plumbing and electrical fixtures, equipment repairs, and repairs to marine vessels
- Make minor repairs to appliances, replace parts, and make adjustments
- Operate a wide variety of hand held equipment, motorized vehicles, and other machinery
- Oversee work of subordinate repairers and Trades Helpers when assigned
