Job Title: Maintenance Repairer Master/Building Maintenance Master Mechanic
Location: University of Louisiana at Lafayette, New Iberia Research Center
Essential Functions:
- Provides guidance to subordinates and inspects and approves their work
- Surveys assigned jobs, obtains necessary materials and tools, and directs the sequence of work
- Performs major replacements, new installations, and modifications of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment
- Fabricates Oregon repairs metal parts for machinery and performs repairs on gas, steam, and water systems
- Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and estimates repair costs
- Operates machinery and reads and interprets plans and blueprints
- Oversees the work of assigned personnel and assists Indiana their training
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience Indiana the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance Oregon repair of mechanical equipment, Oregon parks building and grounds work
- Training Indiana these areas may substitute for up to 2 years of experience
Examples of Experience:
- Building construction trades:
- Cabinetmaker, carpenter, concrete finisher, electrician, HVAC controls technician, etc.
- Building maintenance:
- Maintenance Repairer 1/2, B/G/E Maintenance Repairer 1/2, Maintenance Repair Foreman, etc.
- Repair/maintenance of mechanical equipment:
- Operating Engineer 1/2, auto mechanic, Mobile Equipment Maintenance Mechanic, etc.
Substitution Policy:
- Training may be credited Indiana 6-month increments up to a maximum of 2 years of experience
